Intro:

At Phone Staffer, we help home service companies like roofing contractors generate more leads through effective cold calling strategies. In this example, we reached out to a homeowner in Uvaja to offer a free roof inspection. The homeowner, Kathy, shared that her roof was over 10 years old but mentioned that her husband would need to be consulted before scheduling an appointment. Arrangements were made to have our project manager follow up to schedule a convenient time for the inspection. This is a great case of how cold calling can be utilized to get more leads for home service companies, particularly in the roofing industry.

Below is the redacted lead information to maintain privacy.

Ai Transcript:

Phone Staffer Caller:
Hi, this is Kathy.

Lead:
Yes. Hi, Kathy, Charles here with (redacted). Are you still on (redacted)?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Uh-huh.

Lead:
All right, perfect. Currently we’re just conducting free roof inspection in the area, so we’d like to hear from you, though. When was the last time you had your roof inspected?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Oh, I don’t even know.

Lead:
Oh! But the other idea may be to see how old is your roof in total, how long will you be there. Half-Life? How old is your roof?

Phone Staffer Caller:
I don’t know. I don’t know. I really don’t. It’s been a while.

Lead:
Oh, understood. Let me just confirm then if … Have you been … I mean how long have you been in this property though? Was it five years, 10 years or more?

Phone Staffer Caller:
I think it’s been more than that but we’ve had it, had it changed once.

Lead:
Can you recall when was it then or has it been replaced like a few years ago? Five years ago? 10 years ago?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Probably about 10 but we have it checked every once in a while and they say it’s fine.

Lead:
Okay. I gotcha. Because Kathy, here’s the thing. Again, as I mentioned, I’m from (redacted). We’re currently just conducting free roof inspection in (redacted). So if you do want, you could have someone come over and have that one checked for you for free. They’re still charged for that one. The thing is we will have your phone number first provided to our project manager, set up a time and date that you’re comfortable having someone there. And then what can happen is they’ll check the roof if there is any damage seen, they’ll take a picture of it, show it to you, and then help you guys apply for an insurance coverage to have that one replaced if there is really need to be replaced. So this is just a matter of them coming over. Will that be okay with you?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Well, you gonna have to talk to my husband about this though. Not me. Oh my gosh. And he’s not available right now.

Lead:
What time or day will he be available?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Probably around 2 or 3. 2 or 3 your time.

Lead:
Well, here’s the thing then. Can we have our project manager give you guys a call then instead? Because the thing is, what we’re just trying to do is get your confirmation for your phone number and since your husband will be available later this afternoon or probably next time then, our project manager will call you guys, speak with him and check your availability for the, again, the information I’m asking is just for a call back for now. It’s not the visit, yet.

Phone Staffer Caller:
Okay, my husband’s name is Calvin.

Lead:
Calvin. Uh, that’s C-A-L-V-I-N, right?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Yes.

Lead:
And then your last name is P-Y-L-E, correct?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Yes.

Lead:
Alright, perfect. And the address that we have here is (redacted). What’s your exact house number, please?

Phone Staffer Caller:
Seven six five nine.

Lead:
Okay, got it. Here, then. And let me just put this one here. Alright, all set. By the way, can we have your email address, if we may?

Phone Staffer Caller:
It’s C-A-L-C-A-T P-Y-L-E at aol.com.

Lead:
(redacted)@aol.com. Alright, perfect, perfect. So
