Intro:

“At Phone Staffer, we help home service companies generate more leads through outbound marketing and cold calling strategies. In this transcript, we reached out to a church in Austin to offer a power washing service. While they already had a cleaning solution in place, this interaction highlights the value of canvassing for leads in the home service industry. Even when prospects don’t immediately convert, establishing contact and sharing service details can be beneficial for future opportunities. Below is the redacted call transcript to protect individual privacy.”

Phone Staffer: Sunrise, the weirdest little church in Texas. Please listen carefully as our menus have recently changed. If you are calling for Sunrise Homeless Navigation Center, please hold your line. Thank you for calling Sunrise. How can I help you?

Caller: Hi. Good morning. My name is Ashley. I’m calling from (redacted) power washing, and I’m reaching out to check when would be the best time for my manager to drop by your church and provide an estimate for a power washing service of the exterior of the facility?

Phone Staffer: Our service hours are between 9 AM to 1 PM. Those are very busy hours. However, I would say any time after 1 PM because that’s when we’re no longer providing services to clients. There would be a better chance of being able to speak to the director then.

Caller: And would Monday be a good time?

Phone Staffer: Yeah, I think Monday would be all right. Just any time after 1 PM because 9 to 1 is a very busy time, and they won’t have time to speak to anyone unless it’s regarding services for our clients.

Caller: All right. And do you happen to know the name of the director so we can address the email correctly?

Phone Staffer: Most likely, it would be Marc, but I’m not sure if he might redirect you to somebody else or another department.

Caller: Do you happen to know the email address? We will be sending our information and the scheduled appointment for Monday, around 1 to 3 PM.

Phone Staffer: You can send it to hotline@(redacted).org.

Caller: Hotline@(redacted).org. Let me go ahead and spell that out—H-O-T-L-I-N-E @(redacted).org?

Phone Staffer: Yes.

Caller: And can you please verify the address? Is it the one at (redacted) in Austin, Texas? And your website is (redacted).org?

Phone Staffer: Yes.

Caller: And may I know whom I am speaking with? I’m sorry, I didn’t catch your name.

Phone Staffer: No worries. My name is Karena.

Caller: And it’s spelled K-A-R-I-N-A?

Phone Staffer: Yes.

Caller: Thank you. And is this the best call-back number in case we need to speak to the director?

Phone Staffer: Yes, this would be the only number. We wouldn’t be able to directly transfer you, but we could always reach out and see if he’s available and give him your number.

Caller: Since you are in charge of the church and community, do you happen to know what areas need to be cleaned?

Phone Staffer: Unfortunately, no. This is our hotline. We provide resources and services to individuals experiencing homelessness or those about to experience homelessness. I’m just an assessor, so I’m not exactly sure what the church would specifically need. That would be something to speak about with the team there in person at the hub if it is a service they want.

Caller: Normally, we clean the side of the church, pathways, walkways, and parking lot. Are these common areas that your maintenance normally handles?

Phone Staffer: I wouldn’t be able to say for sure.

Caller: Would you be there on Monday to accommodate our project manager? He will be there to do a site survey, which would take only 10 to 15 minutes.

Phone Staffer: I won’t be there. I work remotely as part of the assessor team for resources. But let me reach out to the team and see if someone will be there. We do have outreach teams and outreach programs, so occasionally there might not be someone on-site after 1 PM if they are out in the field.
