Intro:

Phone Staffer specializes in home service lead generation through cold calling and outbound lead generation. In this transcript, we reached out to a homeowner in Scarsdale, NY to generate a lead for power washing services. The conversation focused on assessing a back deck (and potentially other areas) and arranging an estimator to provide an estimate. The homeowner expressed interest in receiving pricing information, with the estimator expected to discuss price during the visit. Pricing was noted as starting around $100 and varying by size and dirt, and the caller emphasized a no-contract, no-obligation path to the estimate. A tentative appointment was scheduled, with the estimator to call 15–30 minutes prior to the visit to address any questions.

This is a power washing lead, but would also work well for roofing companies in Scarsdale, NY. It illustrates how cold calling for leads and home service outbound lead generation can help get more leads for a home service company while protecting client privacy. Below is the redacted information from the call to protect individual privacy.

Ai Transcript:

Phone Staffer Caller: Hello, is this Marie?
Prospect: Yes.
Phone Staffer Caller: Hi Marie, (redcated) here with (redcated). So, we’ll be doing a Powerwashing work at Carsdale this week. And I’d like to check if you’re going to be interested with the estimate to powerwash your patio, driveway and all the clear part of your house.
Prospect: No, I’m not interested at this time for a driveway washing. Thank you anyway for your concern.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay, I understand. Just take note that this has no contract and no obligation. You can always weigh in your options while you still avail the pre-estimate, okay?
Prospect: We have a back deck.
Phone Staffer Caller: Back deck, yeah, okay. So, you need powerwashing for your back deck?
Prospect: I consider it.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay, we can get a hold of a schedule so that you can always weigh in your options and decide whether you’d be interested or not.
Phone Staffer Caller: But we can set up a schedule for your back deck so that the estimator will be able to check on that.
Prospect: I would need to have the estimate before scheduling to know approximately if there is a cost and what it might be.
Phone Staffer Caller: Oh, okay, that’s a good one.
Phone Staffer Caller: So, we actually, the estimator will be discussing the price for the powerwashing once they speak to you.
Phone Staffer Caller: Normally, it would start at $100, but it would really depend with the size and how dirty the area is.
Phone Staffer Caller: But for us to provide an accurate estimate, we can have our estimator assess the property.
Phone Staffer Caller: Are you available on this date, on Friday, April 24th?
Prospect: I’m busy tomorrow, Friday.
Phone Staffer Caller: Oh, okay. How about on Monday? If there is a necessity for the work to be done, the weekend might not be the better time. Perhaps some day next week, a weekday is easier than weekend.
Prospect: Okay, how about on May 1? Are you okay on May 1?
Phone Staffer Caller: May 1 is a week from today, a week from tomorrow. It’s – it could be by phone. I think that would be the better way to establish an estimate, you know, a low and a high, and then I could think it over without any contact.
Prospect: No, I don’t want to.
Phone Staffer Caller: No worries, because the estimator will call you first prior to the visit. So if you – for example, you schedule a visit on Monday or Tuesday next week, the estimator will contact you first, 15 to 30 minutes prior to the visit, and you can actually discuss everything that the estimator needs to know first, or all your concerns about the estimate.
Prospect: How is that?
Phone Staffer Caller: All right. Yes, and your name again, please? This is Kim Liu. So when is your available schedule? Are you okay on Monday, May 4, or Tuesday, May 5? That’s for the call back, May 4 or 5.
Prospect: May 4.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay, so are you okay by 8 to 10 a.m., or 10 to 12, or 12 to 2, or 2 to 4 p.m.?
Prospect: Eight to ten.
Phone Staffer Caller: I need your phone number, though, if there is a change in what I’m expected to do or where to be.
Prospect: Okay, it’s the same number that’s showing up on your screen now.
Phone Staffer Caller: So it’s (redacted). Is this your number?
Prospect: That’s the number that’s on the screen. Oh, okay.
Phone Staffer Caller: Yeah, that’s the number that you can dial if you need to change. I have a (redacted). So your code is (redacted). So if I’m called there and I would be home to take that call May 4 and 5, you suggested 8 to 10 a.m.?
Prospect: Yes, May 4, 8 to 10 a.m.
Phone Staffer Caller: So Marie, is it only the back deck that needs power washing? Or back deck?
Prospect: Yes. Right.
Phone Staffer Caller: All right, so Marie (redacted), is that your first and last name, correct?
Prospect: My first name is Marie, M-A-R-I-E. My family name is (redacted), R-A-H-O.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay, and your number is (redacted), correct?
Prospect: Yes, it’s a local Westchester number.
Phone Staffer Caller: So is this your full address, (redacted)? Is that correct?
Prospect: Correct, yes.
Phone Staffer Caller: And please spell your first name. Is it a Mrs. or a Miss? It’s a Miss.
Prospect: Okay, Miss.
Phone Staffer Caller: And if you will spell your name. It’s C-A-M-I-L-L-E. Camille? Yes, C for Cat. Or Camille. C or T. Yes, that’s Camille, yeah.
Prospect: Okay.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay, do you have an email address? Family name? I’m sorry? Your last name?
Prospect: Camille. Camille. Yeah, just Camille. That’s okay, that’s fine.
Phone Staffer Caller: All right. Okay, so do you have an email address where we can send a confirmation to?
Prospect: No, but just a regular residential house phone number, the (redacted).
Phone Staffer Caller: All right. And also a conversation to know more about power washing.
Prospect: Okay, so do you have –
Phone Staffer Caller: Power wash.
Prospect: Did you do power washing last year, two years ago? When was the last time you had your house power washed?
Prospect: We had the street paved. We’re on somewhat of a private lane. It’s Hilltop, (redacted). And it hasn’t been power washed for a long time. It’s been painted in the past. I was just down in the steps to rake leaves this morning because top leaves were wet from the moisture, from the showers, and the bottom leaves that haven’t been collected and up front date back to the autumn. So, you know, I feel two pails, and that was my exit from the house. There’s a bush or a plant that was in the family room. And I put it out when the weather last week, within the last seven to ten days, was hot. So I watered that. And then raking, I saw that the top leaves are moist, but the bottom leaves are brown from autumn, and they have to be moved out. So if the government do their job, then I can do mine. And the deck had been painted in the past tan to blend in, you know, with the foliage from the autumn when it’s green to the spring when it’s brown, if they haven’t corrected them at the curb. And they’re pretty slow to do it.
Prospect: Okay.
Phone Staffer Caller: So you didn’t have any other power washing done before to your house, is that correct?
Prospect: Correct. It had been painted. It had been painted.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay. I’ll just take note of that. So just to confirm, Marie, your schedule for the appointment or for the call for the appointment would be May 4, Monday, between 8 to 10 a.m. So the estimator will contact you first 15 to 30 minutes prior to the visit, okay? So you can discuss with the estimator all your concerns about your back deck and the other parts that need power washing as well if you will discuss to him about it, okay?
Prospect: Okay.
Phone Staffer Caller: You could ask if he could do better than $100, you know, but I’ll listen to what he says.
Prospect: Yep. You can discuss it with the estimator, anything that the estimator needs to know about the code or the estimate.
Phone Staffer Caller: So I took note back deck, okay?
Prospect: Okay.
Phone Staffer Caller: So that’s the main reason why you want a code about the back deck, correct?
Prospect: Correct.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay. So, yeah, I think I got all what I need, Marie.
Prospect: So you’ll be assisting the estimator, right?
Phone Staffer Caller: Yes, and it’s presently covered by tarp. It has a tarp covering to prevent it during the winter. Since I have the access to it for the summer, there usually are chairs out back, but for the winter it’s covered.
Prospect: Okay, Marie.
Phone Staffer Caller: So, yeah, I’ll just take note of that, and, yeah, it would be May 4, Monday, between 8 to 10 p.m. Please wait for the call of the estimator 15 to 30 minutes prior to the visit, okay?
Prospect: Thank you so much, Marie, for your time, and you have a great day, okay?
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay.
Prospect: Thank you for your help.
Phone Staffer Caller: Yep.
Prospect: Thank you so much.
Phone Staffer Caller: Bye-bye.
Prospect: Bye-bye.
