Phone Staffer specializes in cold calling for leads to drive home service lead generation and outbound marketing for home service companies. In this transcript, we cold-called a homeowner in [city redacted], [state redacted] to schedule a free exterior power washing estimate. The conversation covered cleaning the house exterior and porch, with a tentative appointment booked for a weekend.
This is a power washing lead, but would also work well for roofing companies in location. If you’re looking to improve your home service lead generation or need help with outbound efforts to get more leads for your company, this example demonstrates how cold calling for leads can drive booked estimates. Below is the redacted information from the call to protect individual privacy.

Phone Staffer Caller: Hi, is this Bryce?
Prospect: Yeah.
Phone Staffer Caller: Hi, my name is Richard with (redacted) and we’re going to be working there at (redacted) this week and next week. So I’d like to ask, like as a drop by and give you a free estimate for Powerwashing. You know what? Go ahead.
Phone Staffer Caller: Our next soonest date we can send our guys there sir to meet with you is going to be on May 2nd sir this coming Saturday between 11am to 1pm. Are you available? So that’s my wife’s birthday. I’m going to be, we’re going to be busy all day. Is there any way they can come Sunday or later in the week?
Prospect: Sure, we can do it Sunday sir. Would you like to do it in the afternoon or morning?
Phone Staffer Caller: Sunday, let’s do afternoon. Between 1 and 3 or 3 and 5 sir? Let’s do 3 and 5. 3 and 5 it is.
Phone Staffer Caller: By the way, address is (redacted), right?
Prospect: Yes sir.
Phone Staffer Caller: Thank you. Best contact number is the one you’re using right now which ends at (redacted), right?
Prospect: Yep.
Phone Staffer Caller: And I’m talking to Bryce Redacted?
Prospect: Yep.
Phone Staffer Caller: Thank you Bryce Redacted.
Prospect: And yes, what part of the house would you like to have estimated sir?
Prospect: Well, do you guys do covered decks and stuff?
Phone Staffer Caller: Yes, we do. I would just like the entire house. It’s not, it’s not extremely dirty, it’s not extremely large. However, there is just, it’s white. So that’s a problem. And you can see it really along the side of the house, along the side porch, where everybody enters the home. And that’s kind of the worst spot. That’s what we would want minimum. But I would like to just see how much it would cost to do the whole exterior. And then if you guys could, we could clear the furniture off. If you guys could just come in and, you know, really wash the covered porch floor and walls in there, that would be great. The porch also, the floors on the porch. I mean, am I correct? Yeah, yeah. And it’s a pretty small porch. I want to say 12 by 12 foot and then maybe like a little hallway that goes out into an uncovered porch, which you don’t have to power wash because it’s not even dirt. It doesn’t get dirty. But yeah, the rest of the house for sure. Okay, thank you.
Prospect: And is there a valid email address where we can send the confirmation to, plus our company details?
Prospect: It’s Bryce (redacted), email (redacted).
Phone Staffer Caller: Thank you, sir. And did you remember when was the last time you had your house power washed? Was it a year ago, two years ago, maybe?
Prospect: We moved in three years ago, May 2023, and it was definitely power washed when they shared it and everything because it was spotless. But it’s been, yeah, it’s been three plus years.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay, thank you, sir. And you’re the one that’s going to meet or assist our estimator, right? It should only take 10 to 15 minutes every time.
Prospect: Yeah, yep.
Phone Staffer Caller: All right.
Phone Staffer Caller: Then yeah, we’re all set for Sunday, sir. May 3rd between 3 and 5 in the afternoon, sir. Good to go.
Phone Staffer Caller: Okay. And what is your company and your name again? My name is Richard, sir. Name of the company is (redacted). (Redacted) stands for (redacted). (redacted) Power Washing.
Prospect: Okay.
Phone Staffer Caller: Well, thank you so much, Richard. You’re welcome. And yeah, have a great day. Take care. Yep. Thanks. Bye. Thank you.
